The Department of Agricultural Chemistry at National Taiwan University seeks applicants for a tenure-track position of assistant professor or higher level to conduct teaching and research activities in the field of microbiology. The starting date for this position is August 1, 2024.
I. Qualifications:
- Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology or related field from a domestically or internationally recognized university and have post-doctoral research experience.
- Applicants should have exceptional publication records in the field of microbiology specialized in multiomics (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, metagenomics, and culturomics) with a focus on agricultural chemistry-related areas.
- Candidates must possess a background in agriculture and agricultural chemistry.
II. Documents required for application include:
- A cover letter indicating the intended position (i.e. Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor) and relevant information of three recommenders.
- Curriculum vitae (with a photo).
- Proof of academic and professional experience (For foreign qualifications, validation by Embassies of Republic of China (Taiwan) is required). Applicants for Assistant Professorship must include transcripts for undergraduate and graduate studies.
- A teaching plan including courses that can be taught and relevant teaching experience. It must align with the department's required courses, including General Microbiology and Lab, Environmental Microbiology, and Molecular Biology, and contain proposed courses related to Multiomics in Microbiology.
- Research plans.
- List of publications (please mark the representative publication).
- The PDF file (full article) of the representative publication published within the last five years (since August 1, 2019, or accepted with proof). The representative publication must be an original research article published in SCI journals, and the applicant should be the first or corresponding author. Applicants for Assistant Professorship may use their doctoral thesis completed within the last three years (since August 1, 2021) as their representative work.
- PDF files (full article) of all reference publications published within the last seven years (since August 1, 2017, or accepted ones with proof).
- Any other relevant application materials.
